Last Christmas Eve I thought, I really must record that Xmas song. So I finally have for this year! It's a white Christmas, December 25th,  a winter wonderland, at least it is in the video! Family and friends are merry inside and outside of a winter log cabin, in the snow, wearing Santa hats, bright sweaters, cardigans and scarfs! It's snowing, let it snow shouted director Jim and a snow machine pumped it out!

There is a Christmas tree, decorations, ornaments, holly, presents, advent calendar’s, card’s and stockings, but we couldnt find any mistletoe, but we did have wine! Its cozy inside and its cold outside, we have a snowman and throw snowballs. My two dogs join in the fun. Baby O, dressed as an elf is a little confused but stills joins in shaking some jingle bells, she's really rockin around! The older kids, who perhaps should have been dressed as elves,  or little drummer boy perhaps, enjoy themselves and get to unwrap presents.

This happy, bright and dancy pop style song explores the festive season through the eyes and ears of someone who loves Christmas. I certainly love it and get very childlike every year! The lyrics reference church bells ringing, choirs singing carols, children's wishes about their lists and letters to Santa and what gifts they will get. Xmas lights, the festive season, goodwill, snowflakes, peace on earth, a shining star in the night sky, sleighbells etc. Everyone joins in singing the chorus, even Father Christmas. It's pure Xmas magic and greetings.

The story behind this is I actually wrote the song when I was a young teenager, it was originally recorded in demo format just for my Mum and Dad and I gave them a copy as part of a Twelve days of Christmas fun thing I did for them over yuletide.

For years my manager has nagged me to record it properly. There is no Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, just two Great Danes, oh but we did have a sleigh, well a sledge really, no chestnuts roasting on an open fire and Scrooge wasn't invited! It’s not a religious or nativity song, it’s just meant to capture the spirit of the season, so it’s not directly aimed at Christians or as Christian music. It’s for everybody who enjoys Christmas in the way I do, for me, it's the most wonderful time of the year.

It's no secret, I love Christmas songs such as Fairytale of New York and 2000 miles. I hope you enjoy the music and video and have a great time.
